I giovani della Montis Regalis Youth Orchestra

The talented young musicians selected for the orchestral courses organized every year by the Foundation, perform with the Youth Orchestra. They have the unique opportunity to work under the most acclaimed Italian and international conductors, active in the field of Early music.

The orchestral courses are structured into five cycles per season and, at the end of each cycle, the Youth Orchestra performs in Mondovì, Torino and several other cities in Italy and abroad.

Study programs for the courses are selected by the conductor in agreement with the artistic director and cover the repertoire from the end of the XVII century and the second half of the XVIII century, allowing the most talented members of the Youth Orchestra to perform solo as well.

This formula has proven particularly effective and it allows the young talents not only to work together with highly experienced musicians, but also to explore technical and executional aspects of a vast repertoire, from Early Baroque to Viennese Classicism.

At the end of the five cycles, the best participants can be invited to take part in the Academia Montis Regalis Orchestra.
